NotifyNow and Zopa partnership makes bereavement administration easier

Leading bereavement notification service NotifyNOW, a service of Phillips & Cohen Associates (PCA), has forged a new partnership with digital bank Zopa, enabling bereaved families to inform the bank about the death of a loved one quickly and securely through a simple digital service.

The partnership is designed to make one of life’s most difficult administrative tasks easier by providing bereaved families and executors with a seamless way to notify Zopa Bank and other financial companies following the death of a customer.

By partnering with NotifyNOW, Zopa Bank is reinforcing its commitment to delivering a compassionate, customer-focused bereavement experience while streamlining the notification process.

NotifyNOW provides an additional channel for customers, family members and representatives to submit bereavement notifications, complementing existing support services of financial providers, and helping to ensure cases are handled efficiently and sensitively.

The NotifyNOW platform is designed to improve the experience for both consumers and financial institutions by providing a secure, straightforward and reliable way to communicate bereavement notifications.

The partnership enables Zopa to digitally notify over 1600 financial institutions and utility companies of a bereavement at the click of a button, removing the stress and complexity from the process.

NotifyNOW helps reduce duplication, minimises delays and supports financial organisations in responding to bereavement cases more efficiently. Grieving families benefit from having a clear, accessible process at a time when they may be coping with significant emotional and practical challenges.

Nick Cherry, divisional CEO at Phillips & Cohen Associates, said: “We are delighted to welcome Zopa Bank to the growing number of organisations using NotifyNOW. Bereavement is an incredibly difficult time, and every improvement that reduces the administrative burden on families can make a meaningful difference.

“By partnering with Zopa Bank, we’re helping provide a simple, secure digital notification service that supports grieving families while enabling the bank to manage bereavement cases efficiently and with compassion.

“We’re proud to work with organisations that share our commitment to improving the customer experience during life’s most challenging moments.”

The partnership reflects a broader trend across the financial services sector towards improving bereavement support through digital innovation while maintaining the empathy and care customers expect during sensitive life events.

As more financial institutions adopt digital bereavement services, families increasingly benefit from simpler, more consistent processes that reduce the need to repeat information and navigate multiple notification channels.

NotifyNOW continues to expand its network of participating organisations, helping to improve the experience for consumers while supporting financial institutions in delivering high-quality bereavement services.

Phillips & Cohen is the sole licensee of the NotifyNOW platform which is owned by The Estate Registry.
