Exizent spoke to all those involved in the administrative processes related to death – from the recently bereaved to legal firms and financial institutions – to capture the state of the nation when it comes to the associated legal and financial responsibilities, and their impact on the time, money and emotional state of those involved.
Their findings showcased some disconcerting facts about the state of the bereavement process year-on-year. 2022 saw a steep decline in the experience of consumers dealing with professionals’ services throughout the process. They also highlighted how, despite 70% of legal professionals committing to enhancing their processes for bereavement handling in 2021, the experience of these processes from the professionals going through them show that they are actually getting worse.
