The only law firm that does not compete with those that deal with non-contentious wills, trust and probate work. All clients referred to us from will writers, solicitors, probate adminsitration companies, law firms, IFAs and other organisations looking after families. We also take instructions directly from the general public.
The firm was set up in 2017 by Martin Holdsworth, who has been dealing with probate disputes for over 25 years. Listed as one of only 2 leading individuals in his field for Yorkshire and the Humber by the legal 500, his teams have also won several awards including two Yorkshire Lawyer awards and a shortlisting for National Contentious Team of the year by step. Martin has sat on the ACTAPS committee for several years and is well known on the probate lecture circuit and still enjoys providing in-house training to IDR Law’s network of referrers.

Martin’s unique experience and outlook in the probate dispute sector gave cause to the creation of IDR Law Technologies – a tech company set up to develop and deliver tech solutions into the probate market. The goal of each of the products and services is simple – to enable more individuals and families to access solutions to real and recurring problems in a way that is accessible, both in terms of cost and ease of use. Some of these are being developed with other partners and others are standalone service lines.
