New digital assets course from STEP

Digital assets are now part of everyday life and increasingly form a key part of clients’ estates. From cryptocurrencies and cloud storage to social media accounts and domain names, estate practitioners need the skills to manage these assets confidently and securely.

STEP’s new online and on-demand STEP CPD Learning Course: Digital Assets will equip you with the practical tools and expert insights to:

  • meet client demand;
  • support families;
  • apply best practices; and
  • manage digital assets with minimal risk.

What will you learn?

The course is designed for estate practitioners around the world. It will support anyone working with clients to plan, manage or administer digital assets.

Module 1
Digital Asset Estate Planning Best Practice – how to deal with digital assets as part of a client’s estate planning.

Module 2
Digital Asset Estate Administration Best Practice – how to identify, access and deal with digital assets in the administration of an estate.

Delivered online and on-demand the course requires approximately 10 hours of study. You will have access to the material for 12 months, during which you can work through the course at your own pace. An optional end of course multiple choice assessment is included, with successful students receiving a certificate of completion.
