Exizent is a game changer for Laurelo

Laurelo is an independent, family-run team with decades of combined experience across probate, law, bereavement support, client care, finance and operations. Its mission is to transform the way probate is experienced by delivering a personalised, compassionate, and transparent service that goes beyond the legal process. The team supports families through the loss of a loved one, offering clear guidance, genuine care, and empathy at every step.

Laurelo has worked with Estatesearch for several years, using its services to place Section 27 Notices, carry out ID checks for beneficiaries, arrange unoccupied property insurance, and conduct asset and will searches. At the start of 2026, Laurelo also began using Exizent’s services.

Stef Fawcett from Laurelo explains: “As a firm, we have used Estatesearch’s range of services for several years.  The Financial Profile Search often uncovers unknown assets. Only recently, we identified an old building society account containing £5,000 that the executors were unaware of.

“We now also use Exizent for the full administration of probate cases, as well as for cases where we are simply obtaining Grants of Probate. Exizent has been a game changer for us in terms of time savings.

“We work on a fixed-fee basis, and correspondence and IHT forms are incredibly time-consuming. It could take a full day, or longer, to complete the IHT400 form, in addition to the supplementary forms. Now that the system has been set up with our precedents, the task has become quick and straightforward. Exizent is easy to use, and other members of the team have adopted it without any issues.

“Exizent’s correspondence feature also automatically populates address and reference information, which significantly speeds up the process while ensuring accuracy.

“However, the automation of the IHT400 form has been the biggest time saver. Previously, this had to be completed manually from scratch, with details then carried across to the supplementary forms too. Any amendments, for example, when completing the IHT435 claim form for the Nil Rate Band, requires us to ensure we were using the correct figures from the IHT400. Now, any updates following asset confirmation are automatically reflected across the entire IHT400 and all supplementary forms. This saves us a huge amount of time and allows us to focus more on supporting our clients and delivering the personal service we pride ourselves on.

“At Laurelo, we are different. Our team genuinely cares about supporting clients at one of the most difficult times in their lives. Using Exizent means we spend less time on administration and more time guiding and supporting our clients through the probate process.

“Exizent’s training has also been excellent. They listen to feedback and are keen to work with us. It has been a very positive experience overall. I would highly recommend both Exizent and Estatesearch to other organisations working in this field.”
