Gerry Marsden, from Gerry and the Pacemakers sadly passed away following a short illness on 3 January 2021.
One of Gerry’s songs, You’ll Never Walk Alone, was adopted by Liverpool FC and has been heard reverberating around the famous Kop and Anfield stadium for a very long time.
The music legend’s passing was marked by the club who took to social media to share their condolences with his family.
Liverpool FC tweeted:
“It is with such great sadness that we hear of Gerry Marsden’s passing. Gerry’s words will live on forever with us. You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
