Well known TV host and radio presenter Dale Winton has died.

His long-term agent has confirmed that he passed away at his home on Wednesday, aged 62.

Whilst Winton has remained a prominent presence on TV since the start of his career, hosting the BBC lottery and game show Hole In The Wall, he was perhaps best known for 90’s ITV daytime show Supermarket Sweep. Running from 1993 to 2001, Winton made a come back as the host in 2007, when the show was rebooted.

Following the news, a number of celebrities have paid tribute to the deceased star.

Fellow TC presenter and friend Davina McCall described him as a “lovely, warm, kind, sensitive, generous soul with a touch of naughty!”

Former host of Family Fortunes and actor Les Dennis said he was a “lovely warm man who posed charm”, whilst comedian David Walliams said he was “heartbroken” to hear that Winton had passed away.
