Looking back on a #BWAPSOLUTELYFABULOUS night at the British Wills and Probate Awards 2022…
‘Twas the night before the Awards when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
Wills along with Probate, the industry awaits,
That night of the year to celebrate with their mates;
Amidst all the bustle our prime minister set sail,
But despite all the chaos, the show must prevail;
Arrive at the Grand, excited as can be,
Race to the ballroom, just like a grand prix;
Tuxedos and bow ties and ball gowns galore,
The industry’s finest walked on through the door;
A splendid setting paved the way for the show,
And with each passing minute, excitement does grow;
Please take your seats, our Jennie is here,
The very first award is ever so near!
A gold sign behind her, we marvel at the glitz,
25 categories, and through them we blitz;
Through many an entry, the judges choose their best,
And just like St Nicholas, we say with our chest:
“Now, Wills! Now, Probate! Now Technology and Innovation!
On, Solicitors! On, Will Writers, and on Court of Protection!”
Up and down the room, winners bathed in glory,
And remotely from NASA, they told us their story;
Five years of “BWAP” – to you all we’re in debt,
But come dawn of the morrow, we’re not quite done yet!
To the afterparty we head, a big smile we brand,
Winner or commended, all rejoice hand-in-hand;
Come late night songs, some lace up dancing shoes,
As details of the night begin to hit the news;
And from the Today’s Media team, as they drove out of sight,
“Happy #BWAPAwards2022 to all, and to all a good night!”
