With The British Wills and Probate Awards, sponsored by CTT Group just three weeks away ticket sales are reaching a crescendo with over 700 practitioners from around the community expected to come together to join in the evening’s celebrations in person and online.
The awards are hosted at Kimpton Clocktower in Manchester and will also be live-streamed as they have been since the wholly virtual event in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions. The hybrid event provides people unable to join in person to recognise and celebrate the very best the sector has to offer. Last year, 250 people watched along online, joining the 400+ attendees in the room.
The format of the event is unique with and encourages plenty of opportunities for networking and collaboration. The awards themselves are hosted at the start of the evening to facilitate the live stream via The British Wills and Probate Awards website. The evening then moves to the Networking Reception, before dinner is served back in the gala hall. The relaxed nature of the dinner means attendees are free to wander round the room throughout the evening to network with fellow guests.

Magician and funny man Ben Hanlin has been announced as the host for this year’s awards, replacing broadcaster Jennie Bond who stepped down after hosting the awards since they launched in 2018. Hanlin has appeared on television globally and was a contestant on ITV’s Dancing on Ice where he reached the semi finals. Since starring in ITV2 show “Tricked” in which he performed magic and pranks on celebrities and members of the public he has amassed over 2 million followers across his social media channels. He says his big passion is still performing live in front of audiences and his goal is always to make his shows funny, amazing and interactive.
Looking ahead to the evening, CTT Director of Partnerships, Jonathan Maskew said
“The BWAP Awards are always a fantastic industry event. It’s an excellent opportunity for those within the wills and probate sector to come together, socialise, network, and celebrate the achievements of fellow professionals, so why not join us?! Last year’s event at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester, was a huge success and it’s sure to be again – a come along and be a part of a truly memorable evening.”
