AIIC Group (“AIIC”), the holding company behind leading independent law firm Taylor Rose MW, has been named as the fastest growing legal and accounting services in Europe, according to the prestigious FT 1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies by the Financial Times (“FT”) – the second consecutive year it has appeared in the rankings.
The FT1000 ranking is listed in terms of compound annual growth rate (CAGR), this year between 2019 and 2022. A minimum growth rate of 36.3% was required for inclusion in the top 1,000 in this year’s ranking.
AIIC recorded a CAGR of 66% over this period, with reported annual revenues of £79.3m in the year ending 30th September 2022. Ranked at 453 overall, AIIC joins notable UK companies, including technology businesses Darktrace and Matillion in the rankings.
Of the 1,000 companies appearing on the list, AIIC had the 63rd highest revenues in 2022, demonstrating its ability to maintain growth despite having achieved significant scale. Just 12% of the list had revenues of over 50m euros in 2022.
The group’s largest firm, Taylor Rose MW, is an innovative top 60 UK law firm operating predominantly in England and Wales. Primarily focused on consumer law, it operates in sectors including property, including conveyancing and remortgaging; private client; family; and criminal law markets.
One key area of growth continues to be its consultancy division, with 746 consultant lawyers at present on top of its 618 employees. Last year, Taylor Rose MW entered the Australian legal services market, partnering with the Australian firm, GTC Legal (“GTC”), to expand its successful legal consultancy model down under.
AIIC has also invested in prop-tech platform SlothMove; KingsleyWood, a consultant-based law firm; and FDR Law. AIIC Group is a provider of technology-enabled consumer legal services and aims to “reshape the future of legal services”.
According to PWC2, average UK fee income growth across the Top 100 law firms in FY2023 was 8.6%. Adrian Jaggard, CEO of the AIIC Group said:
“Achieving this recognition for the second year running is testament to the success of our integrated growth strategy, where the development of our traditional practice continues alongside the fast growth of our consultancy division. We’re continuing to provide the infrastructure, culture and leadership that allows our employees and consultants to do the fantastic work that is helping to build our reputation in all our areas of specialism, and drive growth. Being recognised by the FT 1000 again is a great accolade that everyone in the business should be proud of, and I look forward to our continued growth as we aim to reshape the future of legal services.”
