Sponsor Spotlight: CLSQ

In a series of Supporters in Focus pieces, we are thrilled to introduce our sponsors of The British Wills and Probate Awards 2022.

Alongside headline sponsor Executor Solutions, we look forward to recognising achievement, highlighting progression and championing innovation.

We’re delighted to have CLSQ on board with the fifth year of The British Wills & Probate Awards.

First of all, tell us who you are and what you do.

CLSQ is a leading provider of data, technology, and data-led insurance products and services for the UK property sector (inclusive of Legal indemnities and Estate Administration services). We provide a personal service with expert advice and support from our highly qualified underwriters, business development and client services teams. We start with our customers’ experiences and needs, identify the pain points, then we collaboratively work together to analyse, innovate, and deliver real value. Every problem has a solution, you just have to be creative enough to find it.

What are the principal challenges facing firms and practitioners in the wills and probate industry at the minute, and how are you helping to address this?

There are many challenges faced by private client solicitors when administering and distributing an estate. An area which has increased, is the demand from estate beneficiaries to push for early distribution of estate funds. Whilst our services are intended to wrap around and complement the most diligent processes, we appreciate the challenges faced when it comes to beneficiaries pushing for an early release.

Our insurance provides a risk-free solution to the private client solicitor; where they are able to fulfil the requests of their client with a diligent solution, protecting future claims to the estate and adverse PI claims. With the need for a speedy and complete resolution of all probate matters, our products are designed to give protection, peace of mind, coupled with a timely and cost-effective solution to problems that arise when dealing with these matters in the United Kingdom.

Looking to 2023 and beyond, what are the key areas in which CLS is looking to progress – both for new and existing clients, but also for CLS’ people/staff?

In light of our enhanced range of insurance products for Estate Administration, we also wish to provide solutions which support executors and beneficiaries. In addition, we will continue to collaborate and partner with other specialists in the industry who are interested in finding and offering solutions to support the due diligence required when administering an estate. In order to do this, we support continual professional development across our teams to not only increase their knowledge within this area, but also to foster an open environment of sharing of ideas (this is assisted through CLSQ’s internal training academy, Elevate, which uses both internal knowledge and experience together with involvement from external experts). This then assists with our aim to knowledgably collaborate and partner with other specialists in the industry.

What made you support Probate Provider of the Year, South, and what is your message to its entrants?

As you know, our core values at CLSQ are Innovation, Trust, Expertise and Collaboration. We chose to support this category as we are proud to celebrate the success of those that are championing innovation, expertise and collaboration across the board in the delivery of their services. All the entrants are here because of the expertise and knowledge they show on a daily basis to their clients. Our message to the entrants is to continue providing that excellent service whilst looking to be the driving force to effect positive change in the estate administration industry. We at CLSQ are here to support you in this exciting venture.

Thank you to CLQS for their support for The British Wills & Probate Awards 2022.
