SFE Conference 2022: what you need to know

SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly) is a national organisation of more than 1600 lawyers in the UK who support older and vulnerable people. SFE members receive expert training and best practice guidance to keep them up to date with developments in the sector.

This year’s SFE National Conference 2022 is taking place at Kings Place, London on the 23rd June, marking the first time the conference has been held in person since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following on from the success of last year’s new format, the day will revolve around an in-depth case study. Entitled “Beware – Your Gins Will Find You Out!”, the case study will see expert speakers help unpick the key legal issues facing 44-year-old widow, Nina Wright whose husband, Stuart, died suddenly in a car accident.

Designed to allow guest speakers the chance to share their expertise, the case study also challenges attendees and provides a fantastic opportunity to those practicing private law to expand and share their knowledge.

Chairman of SFE, Michael Culver will open the event with guest speakers including barrister Barbara Rich of 5 Stone Buildings and Independent Consultant Solicitor, Mediator, author and legal trainer, Caroline Bielanska.

Speaking on the SFE Conference, SFE Regional Director and Head of Private Client at Meadows Ryan Jade Gani said:

“The SFE annual conference is not only a great way to broaden your expertise but also a fantastic opportunity to meet and speak with some of the brightest minds in the sector. It’s hard to beat the feeling of being surrounded by like-minded professionals.”
