On 8th May 2024 Today’s Wills and Probate will host the “State of the Nation” Industry Summit; an evening of discussion on topics that impact practitioners on a daily basis. In a Chatham House rule environment, regulation, standards, technology and artificial intelligence and probate delays dominated proceedings in 2023. What will the hot topics be in May 2024… probate delays? Reform of LPAs? And we may have heard the outcome of the Competition and Market’s Authority investigation into unregulated activities by then.

British Wills and Probate Awards 2024
It doesn’t feel like 3 months ago that the biggest ever British Wills and Probate Awards was hosted at it’s new home in Manchester. Kimpton Clocktower Hotel was the venue for prestigious event which has firmly established itself in the private client calendar. 2024 marks the 7th year of the awards and will be hosted again in Manchester on 10th October 2024. 
An array of carefully curated categories uniquely recognise and celebrate the will writing, probate, tax, trusts and estate planning communities at a glitzy ceremony. The unique format of the event encourages collaboration and networking with the awards hosted at the outset of the evening, before moving to the Networking Reception to mingle with other guests. Dinner follows before the evening entertainment, meaning that time to network is maximised throughout the evening.

Women in Wills
Women in Wills is a networking and peer support group for women in the Wills and Probate sector. Through a series of on and offline events, there are opportunities to meet with peers and learn through regular speakers and training. 2024 has brought a new opportunity for the Women in Wills group with the decision to appoint a Chair to lead and develop the group within the sector. With interviews set to take place with some fantastic candidates in the next few weeks, we are excited to plan the year ahead and see how the group can progress into a sought after networking group for women in the Wills and Probate industry.
