Well-known TV presenter Keith Chegwin passed away on Monday with his family by his side.

Aged 60, Keith’s heartbroken family state that he been battling a progressive lung condition which had “rapidly worsened towards the end of this year”.  During recent weeks, he had been cared for in a hospice.

The entertainer, whose career spanned five decades, went from starring in a number of films to hosting classic children’s television programmes.

He also starred in popular reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother, as well as making appearances on competitive programmes such as Pointless Celebrities and Masterchef.

Colleagues, friends and fans have all paid tribute to the star, who his family has described as a “loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friends.”

Keith leaves behind his wife Maria and two children.
