In September the SRA commissioned a report into the behaviour of small businesses. In particular, the fact that they are so price sensitive and the perception that legal services are expensive, often prevents them from using a professional to complete legal services.

The report indicated that, if small firms were to use a legal service provider, they are extremely reliant on the internet, reviews and testimonials to help inform their decision.

At least 42% would undertake some market research into finding a legal service provider rather than reusing a solicitor; highlighting the importance of promoting influencing factors like price, service and notable achievements that set you apart from the competition.

Furthermore, 75% would spend more time researching legal services if more accessible information was instantly available online.

These trends mirror the use of most modern consumers; they require full and instant information when it is most convenient for them.

Failing to clearly and transparently highlight the quality and professional service you provide, could mean you are overlooked.

September’s client feedback, from 89 IPW customers, has revealed that IPW users are overwhelmingly happy with the quality of services they receive.

89% of people surveyed deemed IPW and ISPW members and the service they provide as ‘excellent’ with 11% claiming members are at least ‘good’ at providing legal services.

Reassuringly, 100% of client feedback states that they would recommend IPW members and the services they provide in the future.
