National conveyancing firm Sort Legal has launched its own in-house department offering wills, probate and estate planning services.
Operating from Sort Legal’s offices in South Shields and Gosforth, the department will offer in-person services in the region, with an online service available nationally.
The CLC-regulated firm employs 65 people in its conveyancing operation, with the new wills and probate department to be headed by Lisa Caine (pictured right) and Hayley Brown.
The services on offer include wills, lasting power of attorney, probate, asset protection and Court of Protection.
Caine, who takes up the role of head of wills, trust and probate, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Sort Legal and launching this new department.
“Wills, probate and estate planning are some of the most personal legal matters a person will ever deal with, and our mission is to make that process as straightforward and stress-free as possible, whether clients visit us in person or access our services online.”
Sort Legal director Jennifer Finch (pictured left) added: “The launch of our Wills, Trust and Probate department is a natural evolution for Sort Legal. We already support clients through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, and now we can be there for them beyond that transaction too. It’s a really exciting milestone for the firm.”
Sort Legal was launched in Derby in 2017 and opened a second office in Cardiff in 2020.
