Kelly Greig TEP, Partner and Head of Estate Planning and Tax at Steele Raymond, has been elected as worldwide Chair of STEP, effective 1st January 2024. Kelly succeeds Tony Pitcher TEP, whose term as Chair ends on 31st December 2023.
Full STEP members, like Kelly, are known as TEPs. They are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience. On being elected Chair, Kelly said:
“I am delighted to have been elected Chair of STEP and look forward to the year ahead and leading our organisation into the future. My focus during the coming months as Chair will be on three main priorities. Firstly, facilitating STEP’s necessary evolution, by ensuring that we adapt to the changing needs and expectations of our clients, regulators and other stakeholders.
Secondly, to make STEP a truly global organisation, by expanding our reach and influence in regions where we already exist and making the most of new opportunities for growth.
Finally, focusing on the next generation by attracting, developing and retaining new members. I am excited and eager to have the opportunity to work with fellow global members to help make STEP stronger, better and more successful.”
STEP’s Chief Executive, Mark Walley said:
“I’m excited that Kelly has been elected as our Chair. She brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and experience to the role. We particularly value her commitment to equality, diversion and inclusion. I know she will build on the great work Tony has done as Chair.”
Kelly will lead STEP’s Board of Directors, responsible for the high-level strategic direction of the Society. Board members have legal authority and responsibility for the organisation and are elected by and from members of STEP’s worldwide Council. Alongside a new Chair, STEP has elected its Deputy Chairs, Rod Luker TEP and Paolo Panico TEP, and a new board member, Pamela Cross TEP.
Kelly, Paolo, Rod and Pamela are joined by the other board members for 2024, who are: Assad Abdullatiff TEP, Michael Olesnicky TEP, Tony Pitcher TEP and Mark Walley, STEP’s Chief Executive.
