Hugh James expands Private Wealth Team amidst ongoing growth
Hugh James has announced the continual expansion of its Private Wealth division with the addition of key professionals to its team.
Over the past three years, the team, recognized for its excellence, has seen a notable increase in partners, with five new additions, including three in the last six months. This expansion, from four to nine partners, further solidifies the firm’s capabilities in the private wealth sector.
Alix Langrognat, specializing in Estate Planning and High Net Worth services, recently joined the team following the firm’s relocation to 1 King’s Arms Yard in London. In July, Maria Cosslett became part of the team after the acquisition of Loosemores, bringing extensive experience in private client law. Also, Samantha Roberts, a Specialist Trusts and Estates Administration lawyer, was promoted to Partner in May after a decade with the firm.
The “61-strong team” currently holds a singular position in Band One for Private Wealth and Private Wealth Disputes in Wales according to both The Legal 500 and Chambers High Net Worth guide 2023. Additionally, four partners have received recommendations in Spear’s 500. Leader of the group Matthew Evans said;
“Our Private Wealth practice area has gone from strength to strength with expansion across the UK. This is a testament to the fantastic people in our team and the exceptional service they provide. The recent welcome additions increase our ability to serve more high-net-worth individuals across the UK who are looking for comprehensive and holistic private wealth advice.”
The firm’s proficiency also covers advising business owners in sectors like agriculture, along with a successful track record in the charity sector. Notably, Hugh James maintains a well-established partnership with the Institute of Legacy Management (ILM).
