Fosters Solicitors is delighted to introduce its newly formed Court of Protection & Vulnerable Persons team.
The firm has seen a significant increase in the number of people instructing them for their known “expertise and extensive knowledge” in supporting those unable to act for themselves, and has therefore formed this dedicated department.
Heading the team is Senior Associate and specialist, Paige Gouldthorpe, who will work alongside very experienced solicitors, Steve Green and Chris Fielding – who are, respectively, experts in deputyship and contentious trusts and probate matters. Paralegal, Elisa Bristo and new team member, Helen Hinde will complete the department, providing all-important administration and client care support. Commenting on the news, Paige Gouldthorpe said:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to share this news and very proud to be leading this new team at Fosters Solicitors.
I am incredibly passionate about this area of work, which supports and protects the interests of our most vulnerable clients, who, whether through health or injury, sadly no longer have the mental capacity to look after their own affairs.
The depth and breadth of expertise in the team means we can support such clients and their families at one of the most challenging times of their lives, helping them through the deputyship process and the complexities of dealing with the Court of Protection, but also with everyday matters surrounding their healthcare and finances.
To have the support of the firm, our existing Wills, Trusts & Probate team and two experienced colleagues in Steve and Chris, gives us an amazing opportunity to further develop this specialist offering for those who need this vital support.”
Partner and senior management team member, Steve Green, who regularly acts as a deputy and attorney for vulnerable people or those unable to act for themselves, added:
“We are delighted to introduce this new team, which has grown out of the success of our Wills, Trusts & Probate department.
Since joining Fosters Solicitors, Paige has gone from strength to strength and has developed this specialist area through her extensive contacts with those working with the elderly and vulnerable. She regularly receives referrals from third parties, including other solicitors, who value her knowledge and expertise, as well as her kind and compassionate manner. We have no doubt this new department will be a great success.”
