Entrepreneur launches legal firm ‘to modernise will writing and estate planning’

An entrepreneur and financial services specialist has launched a firm that promises to modernise will writing, estate planning and family protection across the UK.

Rhys Jones, who has a background in financial services and advisory roles, is the founder of Bridgend-based Assured Legal Services. He says he established the company after seeing first-hand how families are left vulnerable by poor planning or outdated advice.

“Estate planning doesn’t stop with writing a will, and life insurance isn’t just about a policy document,” he explained.

“Real protection means aligning your legal wishes with your financial safety net. That’s what we’ve built Assured Legal Services to do — join the dots.”

The company combines traditional estate planning with contemporary protection strategies, it says, with the intention of addressing what it says is a growing gap between legal planning and financial protection.

“Too many families are unprotected, either legally, financially or both,” Jones said.

“Our aim is simple: to make estate planning, will writing and protection advice accessible, transparent and genuinely useful – not confusing or intimidating. Everyone deserves certainty over what happens to their family, their finances and their legacy.”

The company offers tailored life insurance and critical illness cover policies alongside will writing, lasting power of attorney and protection planning, and aims to become ‘a leading name’ in the sector.

“With increasing awareness around the importance of legal preparedness, demand for will writing and lasting power of attorney services has surged in recent years,” the company said in a statement.

“At the same time, rising living costs have placed renewed importance on properly structured life insurance and critical illness cover. Assured Legal Services positions itself at the heart of this shift, providing fully integrated advice rather than piecemeal solutions.”

Headquartered in South Wales, the firm will offer services throughout the UK via remote consultation.

  1. Corey Rhys Jenkins, Rhys Jones and Assured Legal Services Limited are not FCA registered financial advisors: https://register.fca.org.uk/s/

On what basis are they authorised to give advice to the public about any insurance products?

Nor do either of them or their firm appear on any directory that would indicate that they have appropriate legal training to write wills, lasting powers of attorney or trusts:
