Consulting firm expands its services with launch of new probate advisory offering

National audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm Crowe has announced the launch of its new probate advisory service.

The new offering enables Crowe to provide trusted guidance and comprehensive advice at every stage of life across both personal and business matters.

The firm, which was recently granted its probate licence, will leverage this new capability to help clients navigate the complexities of probate proceedings. This will include managing the entire process of an estate on behalf of clients acting as executors and providing taxation support for clients who have died.

Crowe’s experienced team is fully equipped to provide a comprehensive service, including completing complex inheritance tax accounts, preparing and submitting the oath for Grant of Probate, assisting with estate administration, and handling estate tax returns and estate accounts with precision and care.

The probate offering is led by Natalie Butt, who joined the firm as a Director in the National Private Clients team in July 2024. Natalie, a specialist in probate advisory, has a wealth of experience in guiding clients through the process of applying for probate. She is also a qualified solicitor and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Natalie Butt, Director, Private Clients at Crowe, said:

“It has been a privilege to add to Crowe’s already exceptional tax capabilities in the private client sector with this important probate service, which enables us to support our clients during what is an incredibly difficult time.

Our goal is to remove the burden and stress of dealing with matters such as interacting with the authorities, transferring assets to beneficiaries, and filing returns to HMRC. Our team understand the frustrations of the probate process and are here to take control and navigate this on behalf of our clients.”
