Category Spotlight: Probate services take center stage

The British Wills and Probate Awards are taking center stage once again this October, and we’re excited to shine a spotlight on some of the returning categories for this year’s awards.

Alongside our headline sponsor, Executor Solutions and Champagne Sponsor, Exizent, we look forward to recognising achievements, highlighting progression and championing innovation.

Probate Provider Team of the Year (Small – Under 75 staff) – sponsored by Just Clear

This award goes to a probate provider who has kept the interests of both the client and strategic provider at the forefront of its practice.

Last year’s winner was Farewill, who were shortlisted alongside Fishers who were highly commended and The Probate Practice.

Probate Provider Team of the Year (Large – Over 75 staff) – sponsored by Just Clear

This award goes to a probate provider who has kept the interests of both the client and strategic provider at the forefront of its practice.

Last year’s winners of this award was Kings Court Trust, with the judges commenting “a strong submission with continuous improvement and customer service at its heart.

On hearing that they had won, Kings Court Trust said:

“We were delighted to receive the Probate Provider of the Year for Large Firms for the second year! It’s a real testament to our excellent team and business partners who provide an outstanding service to the families who entrust us to take care of their estate administration. We are so proud to be recognised for all the hard work, service and care our team and business partners provide to our customers.”

They were shortlisted alongside Co-Op Legal Service who were highly commended and Chadwick Lawrence.

Probate Research Firm of the Year

This award represents an innovative project or product that has greatly improved the customer journey and taken the area of Wills and Probate forward.

Last year’s winner was Finders International, who were commended by the judges who said  it was “a very strong all round submission with good supporting evidence of client satisfaction and business success.”

On hearing they had won, Finders International said:

“We’re delighted to have won Probate Research Firm of the Year at the BWP2020 awards. 2020 has been a great year for Finders International, and this is the second such award that we have won this year, cementing our position as the go-to genealogy firm for all Wills & Probate Solicitors.”

They were shortlisted alongside Fraser and Fraser who were highly commended and Trace Inline.
