In a series of Supporters in Focus pieces, we are thrilled to introduce our sponsor of the Customer Service Champion Award at The British Wills and Probate Awards 2023.
We are delighted to have Anglia Research on board with the sixth year of The British Wills & Probate Awards and grateful they took the time to answer some of our questions.
First of all, tell us who you are and what you do
Now in our sixth decade, we are a renowned international firm of probate genealogists that sets the standard for probate research and heir location. We provide key genealogical services and expertise to the legal profession in the UK and around the world.
We support and assist Private Client legal professionals with a range of services aimed at fast-tracking the successful administration of probate cases as well as helping progress Court of Protection matters. This can involve finding a missing beneficiary, verifying a family tree, or even providing research for a statutory will application on behalf of Court of Protection practitioners.
Our work in this area of Private Client law must be undertaken with empathy and discretion, something that we believe our company delivers consistently.
We are absolutely delighted to once again being the sponsor of the Court of Protection Team of the Year category and wish all shortlisted firms the very best of luck.
What made you support this category and what is your message to the shortlisted firms
Supporting inclusive, independent industry awards is something we are proud to do, whether that’s celebrating individuals or firms that are doing exceptional things in the Private Client sector. For us, the Court of Protection Team of the Year award is all about recognising those that support the most vulnerable members of society. This category is a special one.
We attend a number of Professional Deputy events throughout the year and see for ourselves how close-knit this community actually is. It is inspiring to see and hear of the work these individuals and firms carry out on a daily basis.
So, we know only too well how many exceptional firms there are in this particular sector, so we can all be sure that those shortlisted really deserve to be in with a chance of taking away the prize on the night.
How do you stay ahead of competition in the legal sector? What strategies do you employ to maintain a competitive edge?
Being the biggest company in our own sector isn’t what drives us; but striving to be the best at what we do does. This is reflected in the training and development we offer to our employees, both those new to the industry, and right through to those with decades of experience.
We believe that it is our staff that sets us apart. Staff training and development is at the heart of our culture and crucially, we have more accredited genealogists and independently regulated staff than any other UK research company, including numerous fully qualified paralegals. Put simply, we provide research that can be relied upon.
Probate Genealogy is a largely unregulated industry, but accountability is of paramount importance to us. When a legal professional instructs us, we know that they are putting their trust, even their reputation, in our hands. This is a responsibility that we take exceptionally seriously.
Therefore, we pride ourselves on exceptional levels of proficiency, ethical practice and excellent service resulting in exceedingly elevated levels of client satisfaction.
