British Wills and Probate Awards 2023 | Entries now open

Entry for the British Wills and Probate Awards 2023 is now open with a special early bird entry rate of £129 +VAT. Registration will be via The British Wills and Probate Awards website with firms able to register for up to three categories in their submission.

The 2023 event promises to be bigger then ever before with a move to new venue at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Manchester having outgrown The Grand in Birmingham, home for the past two British Wills and Probate Awards.

And 2023 sees a BRAND NEW Headline Sponsor in CTT Group, alongside returning Networking Sponsors Exizent.

The awards are now in their sixth year and have played an important role in bringing the wills and probate community together and celebrating the diversity, expertise and all round excellence of businesses across the private client and estate planning spectrum.

Each year the categories are reviewed and carefully amended where necessary to reflect the dynamism of the sector and changing face of organisations and service delivery, and 2023 is no different with new categories designed to capture that nuance across the industry.

Alongside returning favourites including “Innovation and Transformation of the Year”, Solicitor Firm of the Year“, “Will Writing Firms of the Year“, and “Court of Protection Team of the Year“, a raft of new categories have been introduced.

Online Will Writing Service of the Year” recognises the growing part of the sector which has adopted a purely online approach while “Support Team Member of the Year” recognises the unsung heroes of the office who play such an important part in assisting with clients and colleagues. This year the awards will also focus on  with “Contentious Probate Team of the Year” and “Probate Client Team of the Year“, both popular categories, split by headcount to level the playing field.

On their support for the 2023 edition of The British Wills and Probate Awards, Director of CTT Group Clive Ponder says:

“Since 2014 we have proudly supported the journey Today’s Wills and Probate and The British Wills and Probate Awards have been on in championing both the estate planning and regulated legal communities; a journey which fits so well with our own over the last 20 years as we have put our feet in both camps.

We’ve made no secret of our desire to play our part in the continuation of this fantastic event and jumped at the opportunity to be Headline Sponsor when it arose.”

Networking Sponsors Exizent Managing Director Aleks Tomczyk adds:

“Networking Sponsorship resonates with what we believe at Exizent, which is in fostering relationships and working together to make the process of bereavement easier for everyone involved.

Our continued sponsorship of the British Wills and Probate Awards evening is another small contribution, as it is by celebrating the good practices and innovation going on in the sector that things will improve everywhere.”

The awards will take place in Manchester on 11th October 2023. A number of organisations who supported in 2022 have already pledged their support for the 2023 event including Tower Street Finance, Arken.legal, The Law Superstore, the Institute of Legacy Management, Ochresoft, and Aon.

Managing Director of Today’s Media, publishers of Today’s Wills and Probate and organisers of the awards David Opie says:

“To have so many organisations already pledge their support for the awards is testament to their standing in the industry. To be shortlisted, and to win, a British Wills and Probate Award is something special. We’ve had such fantastic feedback from those shortlisted in 2022 about the value to their business from a lead generation and new business standpoint, and from a recruitment and staff retention point of view.

We see firms amplifying their success on their websites, in emails and footers, on their socials, and updating firm and staff bios. We all enjoy the awards evening but the real value is year round and that’s a key message we want to share this year for all those organisations considering entering in 2023, whether you’ve entered before or not.”

Early bird entry is now open until Friday 12th May with entry increasing to £169 +VAT thereafter. Awards entry will close Friday 7th July with final submissions due by Friday 14th July.
