Andrew Chandler and Kevin McLeod Presenting At IPW North West Regional Meeting

On 5th June 2019 associate solicitor Andrew Chandler of mfg Solicitors LLP, newly appointed sponsors of the IPW, and Gavin McLeod barrister of St Philips Chambers, will be attending the IPW North West regional meeting to present an update and answer any questions you may have on matters of contentious probate.

Andrew specialises in all issues of contentious probate, acting for both individuals and trust corporations in matters relating to testamentary capacity, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and in matters where the validity of a Will is challenged.  Within Contentious Trusts and Probate, mfg is ranked as a first tier firm within The Legal 500 directory quoting Andrew as being “very diligent” and that he has “a good knowledge of this area”.

Gavin has a specialist contentious probate practice. He advises, pleads and appears on all manner of cases in this area, from Inheritance Act proceedings to those concerning breaches of fiduciary duty by executors and trustees, constructive trust and proprietary estoppel claims, removals and Part 64 directions requests.  Gavin regularly deals with will validity claims and challenges. He is also regularly instructed at mediation, especially as regards the many Inheritance Act claims he handles.

Andrew and Gavin have successfully worked together on a number of contentious probate disputes nationwide in order to resolve them by securing the best possible outcomes for their clients, and they look forward to meeting the IPW’s North West membership.
