Reminder from the Legal Services Guild

This week, the Legal Services Guild (LSG) has issued a reminder to all barrister intermediaries to issue all outstanding lasting powers of attorney (LPA) cases by 1st December.

Caroline Sandiford, Project Development Manager at the LSG, stated:

“We need to remind you that if you have any outstanding LPA cases pending attestation that they need to be signed and returned to the office by the 1st December — this is so that we don’t have any issues with registering the old style forms with Office of the Public Guardian.

“If you can’t meet this deadline, you need to contact the office immediately to ensure that your clients are not affected.

“Please contact the Drafting Department by email or on a Support Ticket for any further information.”
