Early bird entry for the upcoming British Wills and Probate Awards, sponsored by CTT Group, is coming up 1 week from today on 24th May 2024. The cost of entering the awards is £129 +VAT (£169 +VAT from 25th May 2024) which provides the opportunity to enter up to 3x categories. You don’t need to have written your entry to benefit; simply complete the entry form to receive the early bird rate. A special single category entry is also available this year priced at £89 +VAT and the deadline for final submissions is Friday 12th July 2024.
The British Wills and Probate Awards are now in their seventh year, having been hosted since 2018. In that time nearly 1000 submissions have been put forward for consideration, with 120 firms and individuals recognised for their commitment to excellence and high performance. In 2024 organisers Today’s Media have undertaken a wholesale review of the categories and criteria to ensure that the awards remain as relevant now, as they were when they launched.

Alongside returning favourites, including “Best Place to Work,” “Court of Protection Team of the Year,” and “One to Watch Practitioner of the Year” the 2024 ceremony introduces two new contentious and non-contentious Practitioner of the Year categories, a specialist “Tax and Trust Team of the Year” and has revamped the Will Writing and Solicitor Firm of the Year categories.
2024 also sees the launch of a hugely important new category; “Wills and Probate Excellence,” sponsored by Arken.legal. The award, which will replace the “Today’s Wills and Probate Industry Champion”, embodies everything that Today’s Wills and Probate stands for as a news publication and everything The British Wills and Probate Awards was introduced to recognise; independence, integrity and a recognition of the incredible diversity of the profession. a category into which all the estate planning and solicitor categories will be entered, with the winner identified as being the cream of the crop.
Following the announcement in 2023 that longstanding host, broadcaster Jennie Bond, would step down, last week it was announced magician and funny man Ben Hanlin will host the 2024 awards. Hanlin has appeared on television globally and was a contestant on ITV’s Dancing on Ice where he reached the semi finals.
