UKLTA webinar: “Remember a Charity” – Lucinda Darby

Six out of 10 Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) boat launches would not be possible without gifts in wills. Two out of every three guide dogs are funded by legacies. A third of Cancer Research’s work is funded by gifts in wills.

Charitable gifts left in wills are incredibly important. Yet, 14% of advisors never mention charities to their clients when writing their will, despite 75% of the public being happy for their solicitor to mention it once family is taken care of. Some even discourage them from leaving a charitable gift.

The UK LegalTech Association (UKLTA) are proud to share their “Remember a Charity” webinar – with Lucinda Darby as guest speaker – which explores these issues and how the legal sector can help make a difference.

Lucinda highlights the importance of the work Remember a Charity do in raising awareness around gifts in wills. They represent over 200 UK charities and work closely with partners in the legal sector, government and private sector. Launched in 2000, they are a registered charity and part of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

The webinar is free to everyone, including non-UKLTA members. To watch, simply click this link.
