Treethorpe’s Lauren Geary Wins Best Probate Research Paralegal

In 2018 Treethorpe were approached to be Headline Sponsors at the inaugural National Paralegal Awards; an event organised by the Professional Paralegal Register.

The event itself took place on Friday 29th March 2019, at the May Fair Hotel’s Crystal Room.

Treethorpe’s Lorna Gallacher and Lauren Geary were both finalists in the Best Probate Research Paralegal category. Going head to head with three others; Alex Horrod, Katie Lowe and Neil Fraser. All of whom are well-known individuals in this very specialist field.

Lauren, Treethorpe’s London office Team Leader, and Senior Cases Manager in her own right, was announced the winner by Sally Penni; an award-winning Barrister and founder of ‘Women in the Law and Business UK’.

Sally summarised Lauren’s entry, and the views of the judges, by saying:

“This paralegal may possibly be related to Sherlock Holmes. There must be many beneficiaries who can now afford to read original copies of the Strand Magazine. Outstanding attention to detail and an excellent entry.”

Michelle Aldous, Treethorpe’s General Manager advised:

“This was a truly inspiring event. That we had; three finalists, a winner in Lauren, and Jonathan (Dattani) receiving ‘Highly Commended’ recognition is just incredible.  I am so proud of the them and the team we have at Treethorpe.

The event represents a huge step forward in providing exposure and recognition to the professional service and value that paralegals, in all walks of life, provide both employers and consumers.

We were, and remain, proud to be associated with this prestigious event.”
