Women in Wills

The Interview Series by Arken.legal: Jade Gani

Women in Wills and Arken.legal were delighted to welcome Jade Gani, CEO, Circe Law, in the first iteration of their Interview Series on Thursday.

Gani won Young Practitioner of the Year at the STEP Awards in 2021 and went on to found Circe Law in 2022.

It was not, however, always easy. In a candid discussion with the group, Gani explained that her beginning to life and her entry into the legal profession were both riddled with hurdles and setbacks.

The Circe CEO went on to discuss how to overcome challenges faced in the legal profession as a woman and as somebody with an invisible disability, as well as how to tackle the dreaded “imposter syndrome” faced by so many.

Gani also explained the importance of a supportive environment and network and a strong work-life balance.

The second part of Women in Wills’ Interview Series is set to be held on 7th of June with Michelle Baden-Daintree, associate director at Simpson Solicitors, and Eleanor Evans, partner at Hugh James. The theme will be resillience: how lawyers can keep going and and build strategies to protect their wellbeing.
