The SWW partners with The Co-op

The SWW are pleased to announce that they have formed a strategic partnership with Co-op in relation to Funeral Plans. The Co-op is a market leader in the funeral planning market with over 31% market share and now SWW members are able to introduce their plans to clients.

There are a number of features that make Co-op’s plans unique, including fully guaranteed and their recent launch of the ‘Co-op Commitment’.

The introduction of Co-op Commitment applies to all plans purchased with a 2 year or more instalment plan. This means that in the event that a plan holder dies before the repayment term has been completed, their funeral will be automatically paid for by the Co-op and the family of the deceased will not have to pay any more towards the cost of the funeral. (T&C’s apply). This is a market leading feature and no other provider can offer this to their customers. There are also other payment options including paying for the funeral plan in one lump sum.

Co-op’s recently launched biggest ever survey into death, dying and bereavement found that only 5%* of the nation has a funeral plan in place. Nobody likes to think about their own mortality and many put off the idea of planning for the inevitable but a pre-paid plan through the Co-op is a great way to lock in a funeral at today’s prices. This is hugely beneficial when you consider the rises in funeral costs that we’ve seen and that are expected over the coming years.
