STEP announces Private Client Awards Finalists for 2023/24

The global membership body STEP has today announced the shortlist for the 2023/24 Private Client Awards (PCA). The judges have chosen 75 firms and 11 individuals as being of the high standard needed to win a PCA.

This year saw a record number of entries, with 343 submissions from 29 countries. Nearly one in four entries were outside of the UK, with new entries from New Zealand, Peru, South Africa and St Kitts & Nevis.

The Awards, which STEP founded in 2006, celebrate excellence in private client practice. They are widely seen as a hallmark of quality in the global industry. Categories were open to law firms, accountancy firms, trust companies, financial advisors, multi-family offices and boutique advisory services.

Multiple firms made the shortlist in more than one category. Abreu Advogados, Baker McKenzie, Collas Crill, Herbert Smith Freehills, Kingsley Napley, Kith and Kin Law Corporation, Lenz & Staehelin, Maurice Turnor Gardner, Ogier and Stephenson Harwood are nominated for two awards. Boodle Hatfield, Evelyn Partners and Russell-Cooke are nominated for three, Withers are in the running for four, and Forsters an impressive five awards!

STEP’s Chief Executive Mark Walley said:

“The entries for this year’s awards come from right across the globe. We are truly celebrating the very best of innovation, commitment and hard work for the industry. Huge congratulations to all our finalists. The PCAs are a highlight of my year. See you there in September.”

Chair of the Presiding Judges Mary Duke TEP said:

“The judges were delighted to see so many entries this year from such a wide range of organisations and individuals from across the globe. This does of course make our job as judges even harder. It is extremely challenging to decide among such excellent submissions. With such a high standard, the firms and individuals that have made the shortlist should be incredibly proud!”

Our host, Gyles Brandreth will announce the winners at an awards ceremony on 21 September at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London, UK.

This year’s sponsors are Crestbridge Fiduciary, Evelyn Partners, Katten, Penningtons Manches Cooper, Risk Assured, Schroders Wealth Management and ZEDRA.

STEP is proud to be partnering with Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI). ADI is the international federation of Alzheimer and dementia associations worldwide, representing over 120 countries globally.

Entrants do not pay a fee to enter the Awards, but instead are encouraged to donate to ADI. Globally, ADI strives to focus attention on dementia, maintain it as a public health priority, campaign for better policy from governments and encourage investment and innovation in dementia research.

As STEP Private Client Awards charity partner, donations will allow ADI to invest in its members, raise awareness, and in turn help the charity to reach even more people living with dementia worldwide.
