First of all, tell us who you are and what you do
Now in our 25th year, we are one of the largest Probate Genealogy firms in the UK. We trace beneficiaries to estates, property and estates worldwide. We are best known for our work with the legal profession, and we offer a wide range of estate administration support services, from International Asset Services, including Medallion Signature Guarantees and Overseas Bankruptcy searches to missing asset and Will searches.
Having been around for 25 years, what has been the most important development within the sector during that period?
The movement to online genealogy research resources has changed the industry in the past 25 years, connecting the world at greater speed than ever before.
Finders International’s MD has over 100 media contributions, including Forbes Magazine, The Times, UK nationals, and ITV’s This Morning. Why is interest drawn to Finders International?
People have always been interested in their family history, whether good or bad, and Danny Curran’s continued demand and position as media spokesperson shows that this interest in our family connections is still very current. The breadth of cases we research both in the UK, Ireland, and overseas, continue to garner great interest in the media.
Finders International has used this platform to promote probate research. What changes would you like to see in the sector moving forwards?
We are founder members of the IAPPR (International Association of Professional Probate Researchers www.iappr.org) and we would like to see more international firms joining this organisation to promote and raise standards in the industry.
What made you support Solicitor Firm of the year – South and what is your message to its entrants?
We are probably best known for our work with the legal sector. Our head office in London works extensively with firms across the south of England, and we look forward to celebrating their successes this year at the awards ceremony. Best of luck to all the entrants and shortlisted firms.
What would Finders International’s like to be known for the most?
Providing an excellent, thorough, efficient service to the legal sector, and an excellent track record of locating beneficiaries worldwide. We like to think that we can crack even the hardest of cases!
