Portcullis Legals have announced a new partnership with League One football club, Plymouth Argyle. The partnership will see the Plymouth based firm sponsor one of the club’s stands.
Portcullis Legals, pioneers of the four-day working week and a “huge success story” in Britain’s Ocean City, has acquired the naming rights for the Lyndhurst Road Stand on a five-year deal.
Based in Plympton, Portcullis Legals has been a long-time supporter of the club, not only through sponsorship, but also in collaborating on various social responsibility initiatives, including the annual Sleep Out at Home Park – where attendees spend a night sleeping at the Theatre of Greens to raise awareness of homelessness and generate funds for good causes – including the Shekinah Mission and Project 35.
Portcullis Legals, led by managing director Trevor Worth, has been a cornerstone of the Plymouth business community since 1988, and specialises in wills, probate, trusts and power of attorney.
Argyle’s Head of Commercial Operations, James Greenacre, explained:
“Anyone who has engaged with Trevor, or the wider team at Portcullis Legals, knows that they have the best interests of Plymouth people at the heart of their business.
As evidenced by our front of shirt partnership with Ginsters this season, Project 35, our local community is very important to Argyle, and it’s wonderful to be able to not only align with a company that shares our ethos, but also see them snap up one of our highest profile partnerships in acquiring naming rights to the Lyndhurst Road Stand.”
Trevor Worth, Managing Director of Portcullis Legals, said:
“As a local business that serves the City of Plymouth, and being a proud Janner myself, I am thrilled that – to mark our 35th year in business in January – we have agreed to a five-year deal with Argyle to secure the naming rights of the Lyndhurst Road Stand.
Our partnership with Argyle has gone from strength to strength over recent years, as indeed the club has progressed both on the field and off it commercially. Our partner status will allow us to continue to provide our existing clients with special experiences, as well as attracting new clients from the Green Army fanbase itself.
This is our biggest ever financial commitment, and we look forward to developing the relationship with the Club and the supporters over the next five years.”
