Payout agreed for George Michael’s ex after suing estate

Kenny Goss, the ex-partner of Wham singer George Michael has agreed a deal with George’s family after suing the estate for £15m a month out of his £98m estate.

Mr Goss reportedly gave up his career as an art dealer to care for Mr Michael during their 13-year relationship.

Mr Goss sued his ex-partner’s estate after being left nothing in his Will.

Mr Goss, was suing under the Inheritance (Provisions for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, which allows those who were financially dependent on someone in life to claim from their estate even if they are cut out of the Will.

Sources close to him said he was “effectively a stay-at-home husband” almost entirely supported financially by George.

An order signed off by a judge, Master Francesca Kaye, says the terms of the settlement are secret and that copies of the details are held by lawyers.

She stated:

“All further proceedings in the claim be stayed except for the purpose of carrying the terms of the confidential schedule into effect.”
