Overview Of Compliance Within The Legal Services Industry

In our industry, transparency allows our clients to make informed choices prior to instructing a firm to carry out any work.

It is taken quite seriously by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), who provides a list of transparency rules that all registered firms are required to comply with. These rules mainly consist of how to publish specific information about their services, affiliation and procedures.

A recent survey by DG legal, a UK based law firm consultancy, analysed levels of compliance with these rules, and among the areas surveyed were price transparency, complaints handling procedures and displaying regulatory status.

Kings Court Trust’s blog takes a closer look at how compliant (or not) firms were found to be and what this means.
