New resources to tackle charity fraud released

New resources to help the prevention and detection of charity fraud have been launched by the Fraud Advisory Panel.

The resources have been released by the Charity Commission, who stated that trustess and managers should all have the skills and knowledge to identify the hallmarks of fraud and be able to form a proportionate response.

A supporting report – Tackling charity fraud: prevention is better than cure – has also been released, highlighting the key messages and points from the national charity fraud conference and charity fraud awareness week.

Whilst the information within the report aims to provide steps to achieve best practice where fraud is concerned, the resources are designed to be used practically to help tackle fraud.

They can be accessed here.
