New conference to provide marketing and business development advice launches

A new legal conference and awards has been launched to educate private client lawyers on the importance, and benefits of marketing, and business development.

The Legal Growth Conference & Awards will be held on 4th April at DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln. Hosted by Legal Growth founder Tom Stansfield, the events has been billed as an opportunity for “great networking opportunities, fantastic sales and marketing guidance and content, some great legal service providers and actionable tips to help you grow your legal business or department.”

With over 10 years experience in marketing and business development roles in the legal sector at the Society of Will Writers, Fortis Legal and WillSuite, Legal Growth was launched in 2022 to provide marketing and business development consultancy services to the legal sector.

The conference will cover a range of topics including social media, branding and search engine optimisation; and includes panel sessions from business owners who have implemented successful strategies in their own business.

The day finishes with the inaugural Legal Growth Awards; an opportunity for entrants to “demonstrate your marketing and sales skills in 10 unique categories.”

Speaking about the launch of the event, Tom told Today’s Wills and Probate:

“There are lots of very expensive ways to do marketing and business development but one of the reasons I launched Legal Growth was to help organisations understand that it doesn’t have to be a costly exercise.”

“I am passionate about marketing, building digital footprints, and seeing the results through organic growth. It’s the most effective way to build and maintain a long term marketing and business development strategy.”

“Alongside the events of the day, the Awards are designed to support firms, demonstrate and share best practice, and celebrate marketing and business development success.”

Confirmed speakers for the day include Matt Davies, a brand consultant who has worked with global brands like Nestle, Boots, Specsavers, Capital One, Nikon, Fred Perry and Experian; Martyn Jennings, Founder of Let’s Grow a business supporting SME’s streamline processes, structure projects, grow and evolve their business; and Mike Roberts of Making Digital Real, a social media consultancy which helps businesses generate leads using LinkedIn, landing pages, marketing funnels, automation and video messaging.

Today’s Media have been confirmed as the official Media Partner for the event. For more information see:
