Legal Eye To Host Seminar On New SRA Code Of Conduct

Specialist risk and compliance business Legal Eye will run a seminar for lawyers to find out more about the upcoming changes to the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct.

Held at the offices of JLT Specialty in London on 13th June it will be an opportunity for firms to find out more about the practical implications of the changes for their firms.

One of the core principles of the new Code is to place increased emphasis on lawyers to exercise their professional judgement. Rather than having a prescriptive set of rules to work to, practitioners will need to make informed decisions and take action against the background of the Handbook and Codes of Conduct for solicitors and for firms. The intention is for the Handbook to be reduced in size and for all indicative behaviours, timescales and so on to be removed.

Legal Eye’s team of specialist risk and compliance advisers will share advice and practical tips on steps that your firm can take to not only ensure compliance with the new requirements but also to tackle these important concerns and to ensure that your firm is protected by a robust and comprehensive risk management framework that safeguards against increased risk of claims, complaints and other business critical problems.
