We are pleased to reveal some of the judging panel for The British Wills and Probate Awards 2021.
There are some familiar faces on the panel, whose task it is to pick the winners for this year’s celebrations.
The judges are:
Lakshmi Turner is a marketing specialist with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of marketing in the commercial, public and not for profit sectors. In September 2012, she became editor of the SFE newsletter and in January 2014 was appointed as SFE’s chief executive.
Stuart Simpson is Managing Director of Equniti Benefactor, EQ Digital and has lead the business since 2016. In June 2018, he worked with 6 of the Uk’s largest high street banks to launch the Death Notification Service.
Carrie Caladine is a co-founder and Managing Director at Right Legal Group Limited, a private client focussed ABS established in 2014.
Paul Saunders is Managing Director of of Legal Eye and has over 25 years of experience as a solicitor in the legal profession. During his time in practice, he has been at Board level in a number of firms.
Alex Holt is the Business Development Director at The Cashroom, he has vast experience in the legal sector and is a qualified solicitor.
David Baskerville formed Baskerville Drummond and has specialised in assisting Law Firms with IT strategy and projects.
Jane Cassall runs JC Independent Wills & Probate Ltd. She has prepared Wills for Paul Farrow, a previous editor of the Telegraph Finance and his wife.
Emily Deane TEP is Technical Counsel at STEP. She has practised as a private client and trust solicitor in the UK, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands specialising in all aspects of the private client industry.
Trevor Worth is the founder and Managing Director of Portcullis Legals who serve clients, financial advisers and accountancy practices with succession planning advice for clients.
Sue Carter is a Strategic Consultant to law firms at Consult Sue Carter Ltd
Sue has over 38 years banking experience, with the last 26 predominantly focusing on the Professional Services Sector.
Eleanor Evans is a Partner at Hugh James and is the Head of Trusts and Estates Administration Department.
Lisa Watts is the Director of Lisa Watts Consulting. She is a seasoned business development and marketing professional in the professional services sector.
Matthew Lagden is the CEO of the Institute of Legacy Management. Members of ILM are responsible for managing the income that is left to charities each year in supporter’s wills.
Ian Bond is the Head of Wills & Estates at Thursfields. He is the former chair of the Law Society of England & Wales’ Wills and Equity Committee.
Barry Mattock is Group Managing Director for Executor Solutions & Moving Made Easy
Karen Babington, Today’s Wills and Probate, said:
