Ian Bond Steps Down As Chair Of Wills & Equity Committee

Bank Holiday Monday was the final day of Ian Bond TEP holding his position of Chair of the Law Society’s Wills and Equity Committee.

Marking his final day, Ian took to Twitter and wrote:

“After 3 very busy years today is my last day as Chair of The Law Society’s Wills & Equity Committee. I step down but remain on the committee.”

Ian has handed over his mantle to two joint chairs, Rod Smith from Royds Withy King and Lorraine Robinson from Farewill, who started their new role yesterday (1 September 2020).

Royds Withy King tweeted:

“Well done to our Head of Private Client, Partner Rod Smith, who is taking over as joint-Chair of the Law Society’s Wills and Equity Committee with Lorraine Robinson. Rod’s experience in advising o complex and multi-jurisdictional matters will continue to stand him in good stead.”

Although he is no longer chair, Ian will still play an active role on the committee.
