Fraser And Fraser Partner Recalls Life-Saving Episode

In an interview published today (May 7th 2019) the Daily Mail talks to Fraser and Fraser partner Neil Fraser about a subject outside the firm’s usual areas of expertise in genealogy and probate research.

In an article headed “What to do in an Emergency”, the star of BBC’s Heir Hunters talks about the time his first-aid skills saved a child from drowning.

On holiday in Malaysia, Neil administered emergency first-aid when a boy was pulled unconscious from the hotel pool.

Neil told the newspaper:

“He was blue and unresponsive. I didn’t have time to be scared, as there was no one else around. I ran over, tipped him on his side and massaged his chest to push water out of his lungs.”

Neil learned first aid taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme as a teenager and had kept his training updated ever since.

Thankfully, his quick intervention helped get the youngster breathing before medical staff arrived to take him to a local hospital.

“I was quite shaken, but felt reassured that the boy was in medical hands. I later learned that he was fine. I was so relieved.”
