About The Webinar
Paul first gave this presentation to a workshop at the annual conference for the Charity Action on Elder Abuse several years ago now. As the title suggests, the presentation:
- Demonstrates the ability for the private sector to support law enforcement by providing expert support.
- The case study that I will be referring to was a live case and involved 26 victims who were residing in supported accommodation and had been financially abused by their former land lady.
- The new care agency unearthed some of the abuse when they took the business over. I worked alongside the Money Carer Foundation, the local police and social care.
- My investigation identified prima facie evidence of circa £2.5m worth of fraud. An in-depth investigation report with guidance was passed to the police and social care in order to inform their safeguarding and criminal investigations.
