Estatesearch acquires Landmark Information’s Financial Asset Search business

Estatesearch, award winning, legal technology providers to private client practitioners, announces the acquisition of the Financial Asset Search business.

The acquisition and integration of Landmark Information’s Financial Asset Search into Estatesearch was finalised on 30th August 2021.

The past few months have seen Estatesearch’s expert team support the transition of Landmark’s valued clients to Estatesearch’s technology-driven asset and liability search, the Financial Profile Service.

The Financial Profile Service helps to ensure Personal Representatives fulfil their obligations to locate all the financial assets, past and present, as well as any liabilities in an estate. Providing a comprehensive and efficient search that delivers peace of mind while helping mitigate against the risk and costs of missed assets or liabilities.

The acquisition, which sees Estatesearch’s service now being used by over 1,400 firms across the UK, now provides legal professionals with the combined knowledge, expertise and benefits of two long standing businesses. Conducting a comprehensive search of financial institutions including banks, building societies, share registers, insurers and pension providers, for a simple and effective process for the bereaved and their advisers to speed up the estate administration journey.
