The early bird deadline for tickets to the upcoming TWP Festival is today (Friday 8th May). The discounted rate of £119 +VAT per ticket increases from 9th May to £149 +VAT for an all-access pass to the day’s festivities.
Envisaged as a twist on the traditional conference, TWP Festival was first hosted last year, taking its music festival theme from idyllic surroundings in the Warwickshire countryside. Following feedback on the format and location, this year TWP Festival is hosted more centrally in Birmingham, in the creative district of Digbeth at redeveloped bond warehouse The Bond and Fazeley Studios, a converted church.
The agenda addresses a mix of private client specific legal issues and wider legal and business considerations. Modernisation and digitalisation, changing client needs and behaviours, and updates to legislation with lessons from precedent all feature in a packed schedule.
Amongst the keynote speakers is YouGov discussing its research into the behaviours and attitudes of the next generation of clients and employees, with the Legal Ombudsman leading a presentation on dealing with client complaints. Earlier this year, the ombudsman revealed wills and probate matters make up the second largest volume of complaints it deals with, after residential conveyancing.
Private-equity backed IDR Law and Octopus Legacy will present on contentious case updates and lessons for future practice, and what acquirers really look for in a will-writing or probate businesses respectively. Trinity Bridge Wealth Management, LEAP Estates and legal trainers Scott Walker and Helen Forster are also among the day’s confirmed speakers.
A best practice roundtable discussion, delivered Property Ladder Group, and a ‘state of the nation’ delegate discussion will provide opportunities for attendees to grapple with key issues of the day with a panel of industry experts. Expect digitalisation, electronic wills, capacity, reform and the great wealth transfer to feature.
Explaining why TWP Festival is returning for a second year, Today’s Media managing director David Opie said: “In our first year we found a real appetite amongst professionals to come together in a unconventional and relaxed environment.
“Critically, the standard of our speakers and content was exceptional and feedback from attendees was hugely positive. We look forward to bringing that high standard of content and speakers to a more central, but no less quirky location.”
The event’s venue facilitates extensive exhibition and networking opportunities for delegates throughout the day. Delegates are invited to stay for entertainment and a BBQ at the end of a day of insight and learning.
Early bird tickets can be purchased from the TWP Festival 2.0 website by the end of the day; thereafter the price increases to £149 +VAT.
Today’s Media is hugely grateful to the following organisations for their support, without whom events like this simply couldn’t happen: LEAP Estates, Ampla Finance, Arken, Finders International, Provira, The Property Ladder Group and Zedra.
