Editorial Board

The debate begins: our first Editorial Board Meeting

This week Solve Legal, owner of Today’s Wills and Probate, hosted our inaugural Editorial Board Meeting and Round Table.

As we strive to continually develop and shape the content we provide to you, we called on a range of experts from within the sector to come and visit our offices and share their views on the publication and the wider market.

Our panel (see below) brought together a wide selection of different businesses and career backgrounds from both the regulated and unregulated sectors. We received some fantastic guidance from the panel, which we plan to implement in coming months.

The panel also took part in a lively debate on the topic of: “Legal Update: the Law Commission Proposals”. We will report on this in September in a full length feature.

On behalf of the team, I would like to give a huge thank you to those who attended.

For their attendance at the meeting, we would like to personally thank:

Colin Blears, Director of Risq Ventures

Paul Saunders, Managing Director of Legal Eye

Andrea Pierce, Legal Services Director at Kings Court Trust (KCT)

Gill Massey-North, Operations Manager at Countrywide Tax & Trust

Clive Ponder, Director of Countrywide Tax & Trust

Patrick Harrison, Head of Corporate Relationships at The Legal Services Guild (LSG)

Colin Blears, Director of Risq Ventures who was an attendee at the meeting, said: “It was a privilege to participate in the Today’s Wills and Probate round table discussion. The day was attended by industry thought leaders from a variety of knowledge experts and technology companies and the debates covered a wide range of sector issues which highlighted there is a real need for innovation and consumer awareness to implement change. I look forward to the continued engagement and working to drive the sector forward.”

On behalf of the team, I would like to give a huge thank you to all the people who attended our first Editorial Board Meeting. We know many of them travelled across the country to come and see us, so we were very grateful for their support.
