Firm news: wills and probate’s latest appointments

Taylor Walton Solicitors celebrates the appointment of Camilla Haggith, senior associate solicitor in the private client team and based in the firm’s St Albans office.

Camilla Haggith specialises in estate planning assisting clients including those with high-net-worth, guiding them through legal issues relating to establishment of trusts to protect assets for vulnerable beneficiaries.

Managing partner, Dermot Carey says: “As we continue to grow as a firm, maintaining the quality and personal approach for which Taylor Walton is known remains central to our ambitions. We are delighted to welcome Camilla and look forward to the contribution she will make to both our Private Client offering and the wider firm.”

Haggith added: “It’s good to be based back in Hertfordshire and I’m looking forward to working with clients on a range of private client legal issues.

“The last couple of years has seen a number of changes especially to tax policy, which means many families with earned and generational wealth have been reviewing and changing how they plan for the future and leave wealth to loved ones.

“This coupled with an increase in blended families sees many clients keen to put in place provisions to protect the succession of their wealth. There has been a significant increase in the number of legal claims against estates, so it is important to think very carefully about how your Will is drafted.”
