The closing date to book tickets the upcoming TWP Festival ‘unconference’ in Birmingham is imminent, with tickets available until Wednesday 10th June priced at £149 +VAT per person.
The event will be hosted at two neighbouring Digbeth venues on Tuesday 23rd June: redeveloped warehouse The Bond, and Fazeley Studios, which are housed in a converted church.
Building on the success of last year’s event, TWP Festival 2.0 addresses a mix of private client issues and wider legal and business considerations. Modernisation and digitalisation, changing client needs and behaviours, and updates to legislation with lessons from precedent all feature in the packed schedule.
Amongst the keynote speakers will be a representative from YouGov discussing the organisation’s research into the behaviours and attitudes of the next generation of clients and employees, with the Legal Ombudsman leading a presentation on dealing with client complaints. Earlier this year, the ombudsman revealed wills and probate matters make up the second largest volume of complaints it receives, after residential conveyancing.
A ‘State of the Nation’ panel discussion promises to be a stand-out part of the agenda, providing opportunities for delegates to grapple with key issues affecting the sector with a panel of industry experts. Expect digitalisation, electronic wills, capacity, reform and the great wealth transfer to feature.
A best practice roundtable discussion delivered by Property Ladder Group will form part of a series of breakout sessions, which include private-equity backed IDR Law presenting contentious case updates and lessons for future practice, and Octopus Legacy explaining what acquirers really look for in a will-writing or probate businesses. Trinity Bridge Wealth Management, LEAP Estates and legal trainers Scott Walker and Helen Forster are also among the day’s confirmed speakers.
Attendees can opt to attend the breakout sessions or take advantage of the extensive networking and breakout spaces, complete with a range of exhibitors and sponsors showcasing their products and services.
Today’s Media is grateful to the following organisations for their support, without whom events like this simply couldn’t happen: Currencies Direct, LEAP Estates, Ampla Finance, Arken, Specialist Risk Group, Finders International, Provira, The Property Ladder Group and Zedra.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available. Please contact Donna Opie on 0330 1000 839, or email donna.opie@todaysmedia.co.uk.
Envisaged as a twist on the traditional conference, TWP Festival was first hosted last year, taking its music festival theme from idyllic surroundings in the Warwickshire countryside. Following feedback on the format and location, this year TWP Festival is hosted more centrally in Birmingham.
Delegates are invited to stay for entertainment and a BBQ at the end of a day of insight and learning.
