Estatesearch win at BWAP

Estatesearch honoured with double award win at the British Wills and Probate Awards 2025

Legal technology company Estatesearch has been honoured with a double award win at the British Wills and Probate Awards (BWAPs) 2025. Estatesearch was named as the Best Legal Supplier and also won Best Use of Technology at a ceremony held on 9 October 2025 at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

For the past eight years, the BWAPs has championed all parts of the Wills, probate, tax, trust and estate planning community, celebrating the success and achievements of individuals and firms across the sector.

Ben Furlong, Managing Director, Estatesearch confirmed:

“We are incredibly honoured to have won these prestigious awards. We work closely with our clients to understand the complex nature of estate administration and the challenges they face to create effective, technology-driven solutions. Our technology now benefits over 10,000 legal professionals across 2,400 firms nationwide.

“One of our most recent innovations is our Will Bank Management service that helps firms cleanse their Will Bank Data, giving them actionable intelligence to maintain the integrity of their client data. Our Will Bank Management solution offers a unique service, helping law firms review their Will Banks, unlock commercial opportunities, maintain data integrity, and reduce administrative costs – providing a competitive edge for both Estatesearch and our clients.

“Since launch, we’ve helped over 100 firms screen more than 450,000 records. Real-world results from our Will Bank screens show that up to 14% of Will Bank records are out of date (10% deceased / 4% moved) and one firm was found to be corresponding with a deceased client for 15 years.”

Most recently, Estatesearch has been working with Southeast Legacies to support them in updating a bank of 5,000 Wills. Anthony Rockliffe TEP, Director, Southeast Legacies explains: “At Southeast Legacies we aim to offer our clients value from the moment that they walk through our doors to the last time we meet. We use all the technology and tools at our disposal to ensure better communication and outcomes for our clients and Estatesearch’s Will Bank Management service helps us achieve this.”

The judges commented: “A very comprehensive and detailed application showcasing the great work that this firm are delivering to the profession. The submission included a fantastic use of stats to validate claims.”

Ben Furlong concludes:

“We are delighted that our continued commitment to developing solutions to support private client professionals enabling them to provide better outcomes for grieving families has been recognised with Best Legal Supplier and Best Use of Technology at the BWAPs.”
