A message from Paul Toghill, the new CEO of Kings Court Trust

As part of King Court Trust’s continued commitment to deliver exceptional estate administration services, we are delighted to welcome Paul Toghill as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Paul brings a wealth of leadership experience and strategic insight, with a strong track record of guiding organisations through periods of growth and transformation. His appointment marks an important step in our journey to enhance our service offering, strengthen our partnerships, and continue providing the trusted support you’ve come to expect from Kings Court Trust.

Paul is deeply passionate about ensuring a positive and seamless experience for families during difficult times. Under his leadership, we are confident that our business will continue to evolve and thrive, while maintaining the values and service excellence that define Kings Court Trust.

To help you get to know Paul a little better, we’ve put together a short Q&A where he shares his background, his vision for the business, and his thoughts on the future of estate administration.

What attracted you to join Kings Court Trust?

“Leading a business that supports customers at one of the most difficult times in their life is something I have done for many years, and something I am very passionate about. In the past, I was involved in setting up Dignity Legal Services, an estate administration service offered by Dignity to its funeral customers, and of which I ultimately took responsibility for its operation. This experience sparked my interest in the end-of-life legal services market. When the opportunity to join Kings Court Trust came up, it was an opportunity to join and lead a highly respected, market-leading business and focus on something I am passionate about. This is a business built on trust, professionalism, and empathy, and it’s a privilege to be part of it.”

What’s on the horizon for the business under your leadership?

“Thanks to my predecessor, Simon Hancox, Kings Court Trust has a long-standing reputation in the marketplace, providing us with a strong platform to build upon. Our ambition is to grow the business while continually improving the service we provide to our clients. I am a strong believer in never standing still, therefore, we already have several new system developments underway that will further enhance communication with both customers and partners, making the process even more seamless for them. We look forward to unveiling these improvements in the coming months.”

What can partners expect from Kings Court Trust over the coming months?

“My 30+ year career has been in the later life financial services and funeral sectors, within businesses where distribution through partnerships was the primary route to market. Our partners are the lifeblood of Kings Court Trust. My vision is to embody the values of our recent rebrand and to continually develop both our proposition and the support we offer, positioning us as the standout provider of choice.

Our partners rightly expect the highest standard of care for their clients, along with first-class support for their businesses. This includes offering the flexibility to align with our partners’ business models, rather than requiring them to conform to ours. Our focus is on the customer, the quality of our proposition, and building trust.

There is a great deal of work happening behind the scenes to enhance our offering and ensure we are delivering on our promises. We’re excited to strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones, as we continue this journey together.”

We hope you enjoy learning more about Paul and his plans for Kings Court Trust.
